Spring Event Color Combinations - Part 2

Yesterday I showed you three springtime color combinations - mint green & pale pink, light blue & chocolate brown, and magenta & purple. Today, I have three more exciting color schemes to show you. :)

Color Combination #1 - Sage & Emerald Greens

What's the first color you think of when you think of springtime? Green. If you like to keep things simple, you don't even have to choose another color. Why complicate things? Play with different shades of green, and pick two or three to focus in on. Since they're all part of the same color family, they're sure to go together, and they instantly feel like spring. Pick a lighter green, like the color of grass in early spring, mint, sage, or lime - and pair it with a richer, deeper green, like emerald for a bit of pop.

Color Combination #2 - Hot Pink & Yellow

Hot pink and yellow are two of the brightest color options out there - and if you pair them together, they seem, if possible, even sunnier. It's a very youthful, energetic, casual combination - just like springtime - so embrace that feeling with your decor. These colors look great for any modern pattern or motif, from polka dots and stripes to large beautiful blooms. And here's another hint - big pink or yellow parasols and umbrellas make for great decor and photo accessories!

Color Combination #3 - Red & Turquoise

This is another great bold color scheme. Since red and blue are almost complementary colors, they really pop against each other and stand out. The blue is like a cool lake or sunny sky, and the red mimics the flowers that are starting to bloom in the gardens, or the berries that will soon be springing up on their tree branches. Together, they can look almost patriotic in their similarities to red, white, and blue, making it perfect for late spring events such as Memorial Day, that welcome in the start of summer. :)
