Autumn Event Color Combinations - Part Two

The first three autumn color combinations I posted about yesterday were Burgundy & Golden Yellow, Orange & Navy, and Eggplant & Copper, and today I have three more different color schemes to share that are perfect for whatever autumn-inspired event you can imagine!

Color Combination #1 - Dark Magenta & Olive Green

They key to this color scheme is definitely the specificity of the shades. If the green is too bright green or if the magenta is too pink the colors feel more summery rather than fall-inspired. There are a variety of flowers that come in shades of dark magenta that would look positively striking in an olive green-tinted vase, so making floral centerpieces for a formal dark magenta and olive green event would be an easy way to incorporate this color scheme into the decor of the event. You could even use actual olives in your centerpieces, too - just like the center photograph does in the above color inspiration board.

Color Combination #2 - Rustic Neutrals & Shades of Wood

What feels more autumnal than a collection of shades of wood? Just looking at the above pictures makes me think of bare-branched trees preparing for the long winter ahead, and the decor possibilities with this color scheme are endless. Wooden furniture is a must, along with decorative wooden home elements like vases, chess sets, signs, and other knick-knacks. I just love the incorporation of actual trees in the event decor in the above photos - from tree stumps to table centerpieces with thin tree branches. It feels both rustic and cozy, which makes for a great autumn-inspired event.

Color Combination #3 - Royal Purple & Gold

This color combination is regal to the hilt, so it's perfect for elegant gatherings such as weddings and formal dinner parties. The depth of the royal purple feels like the sky behind a mostly-set sun, making it a great choice for any event taking place on a colder autumn or winter night, when the days are short but the nights are beautiful. Decorative gold frames are a must for wall decor, and I just love the gold leaf patterned chair covers on the chivari chair on the top left. I think these colors are more suited for a late fall event, as the coolness of the purple and gold don't feel as warm as early autumn.

So those are some of my favorite autumn color combinations! I can hardly believe it's almost winter already. Expect to see some posts about fabulous winter event colors in the near future!
